Process of Allotting JEE Main Exam Centres?

The whole process of allotting the JEE Main exam centres is purely a random process. It is a first-come, first-served process. When the candidate fills out the application process, they are allowed to choose 4 preferred cities based on most preferred to least preferred. Based on the availability of seats at that point, the exam centre is allotted. If no seat is available in the first preferred city, the next preferred city is allotted. Once allotted, candidates cannot change the allotted test centre.

Candidates can finally decide their preferences with respect to the JEE Main exam centres list. NTA has finally released the complete updated test centre list on the official website. This year, there are 323 cities and 15 international cities included in the test centre. 33 new test centre cities have been added this year, and 7 have been removed to avoid any repetition and maintain a balance in candidate density.
