JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Window Open (Live)! NTA Releases Public Notice

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 officially concluded on 29th January, 2026. And students have been looking forward to the Session 2 exams. The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exams will be conducted in 10 shifts from 2nd April, 2026, to 9th April, 2026.

NTA released an official public notice on 1st Feb, 2026, stating that the JEE Main Session 2 registrations have started. The last date to submit your application forms is 25th February, 2026 (until 9:00 PM). The last date of payment for the application fee online is 25th February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Students can now apply for the April JEE Main 2026 session on the official NTA website.

  • Notification Released: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially activated the registration link for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam on 1st February, 2026. Apply online at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Registration Last Date: The last date to fill the online JEE Main April Session application form is 25 February 2026 (11:50 PM).
  • Eligible candidates: Students who have passed Class 12 in 2024 and 2025 and are appearing in 2026 are eligible.
  • JEE Main Session 2 exam dates: The April Session 2 will be conducted from 2nd April, 2026, to 9th April, 2026.
  • The application process for JEE Main is completely online, and no offline application forms will be accepted.
  • Candidates who have already applied for Session 1 can register for Session 2 using the old application number and making a fee payment.
  • Students who are applying for the JEE Main Session for the first time need to fill out the entire application form.
  • Candidates are not allowed to fill out more than one application form.

How many attempts are there for the JEE Main exam?

Ans: You can take JEE Main for three years in a row, including one in 12th grade. Each year, there are two JEE Main sessions. So a maximum of six attempts is allowed in the JEE Main exam.

Is it compulsory to have at least 75% marks in the 12th class to appear for the JEE Main exam?

Ans: No, you don’t need any minimum percentage in board exams to appear for JEE Main. But, for admission to IITs, NITs, and IIITs, your 12th-grade score must be at least 75%.
