NEET 2026 Exam Overview

NEET Application Process

A detailed application registration process is as follows:

  • First, you have to visit the official website of the neet.nta.nic.in and find the section “NEET UG 2026 Registration”
  • After carefully reading all the instructions, you have to click on the “New Registration” section and enter your basic details such as DOB, Name, e-mail, mobile number and other necessary information. A unique registration number will be generated for you after this.
  • Then, you have to log in with your registration number and password by entering your personal details and educational details.
  • After this, you have to upload all necessary documents such as a scanned photograph, a correct signature, thumb impression if left hand, marksheet of 10th and 12th, PwD certificate (if required), category certificate (if required).
  • In the next step, you have to choose or select your preferred exam city (up to 4 cities).
  • In the next stage, you have to pay the NEET UG exam form fee by selecting the payment method you are comfortable with.

NEET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

There are some special guidelines that every student should consider for the final exam day, for a smooth examination process, as follows-

  • The examination time is between 2 PM and 5 PM, and you should note that the last entry is allowed until 1:30 PM. After this, the exam gates are closed.
  • You should try to reach 1–2 hours early to complete security checks and biometric/photo verification.
  • At the examination centre, you have to carry a valid hard copy of your Aadhaar card, a valid Identification proof, and 4 Passport-size photographs.
  • The dress code for the NEET exam is very strict, so try to avoid tight and fancy clothes. Reach exam centres with light clothes, where sandals/slippers with low heels are allowed.
  • It is important to check the test booklet and carefully submit your OMR/answer sheet and test booklet.
  • Do not carry prohibited items, such as watches, mobile phones, bags, stationery, Bluetooth devices, or edible items.
  • Always follow all the instructions mentioned on the admit card by the NTA.
